Product Description 3M Disc Pad Holders allow you to quickly and easily change Scotch-Briteabrasive discs during multi-step projects. Available in a range of sizes, foam densities and attachment options, so you can find the perfect holders for your grinding and sanding projects. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Disc Pad Holder 09215 holds a 1-1/2" 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning disc and has a 1/4" spindle that mounts to a right angle sander or collet chuck tool. A 1/16" layer of foam helps generate professional results on flat sanding applications. 3M™ Dual-Lock™ hooks on the holder securely hold a surface conditioning disc and provide easy disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment. This feature enables the disc to be used and re-used for the extent of the abrasive life. Discs are sold separately. This disc pad holder has a Type 5 Dual-Lock hook attachment, with 170 stems per square inch. Density of the pad is firm. Max RPM is 25,000. Dual Lock is a 3M-designed attachment method featuring interlocking mushroom-shaped stems. The stems on any two Dual-Lock products will interlock with each other to provide up to five times the closure strength of traditional closures yet easily peel apart. Scotch-Brite surface conditioning discs and light grinding/blending products (sold separately) deburr, clean, blend, and finish a wide variety of materials. Using surface conditioning products with this backup pad generates finishes suitable for paint.
